(!)-denotes on Cleopatra re-release only

The Cleopatra release of Allegory and Self has been reissued in Russia. There is no obvious record label but the catalogue number is JPCD9808406. The CD pressing is identical to the Cleopatra release, but has a black and not brown label. The booklet is almost the same as the Cleopatra release with cruder printing, but the back of the booklet shows an altered layout for the track listing. The back cover of the CD is one sided (unlike the two sided Cleopatra release) and the artwork has expanded a different part of the front cover to the Cleopatra release; again the track listing is laid out in a different manner.

Excerpt from Mark Weddles CD reviews:
"This cd chronicles the "lost" PTV album of 1985. The songs here are demos of what was to become PTV's 3rd album, but was unfinished due to managerial and financial mishaps. This album is in the same vein as the "Hex Sex" singles collection:  experimental pop and dance songs, even sharing different versions of some tracks between the two cds ("Godstar", "Ballet Disco", "Discopravity"). This album has some real gems:  "Godstar", "Just Like Arcadia" (this one alone makes the disc worth the purchase), "We Kiss", "Baby's Gone Away" ... it's a shame it wasn't properly finished.."
